Have you experienced climbing up the hill or a mountain?
I had it years ago when we did tree planting at one of the peaks of Mt. Makiling in Los Banos, Laguna, Philippines.
It was rainy season so the ground was so slippery, and it made the climb so exhausting! Some students fainted maybe because they have low stamina. Good thing I made it to the place where we planted local tree species like narra, ipil-ipil, etc.
Hope the trees we planted survived and had become big trees by now.

@acelawrites What do you mean - harness? Were you roped to one another?

Yup, used to climb mountains every weekend back in the day when my schedule allowed it. Need to get back into it one of these days.

@acelawrites I wouldn't consider myself a mountaineer. More like an adventurer.

When I was a kid, I climb a mountain once and it was very steep and difficult to climb it.
Nowadays I ride my bike to the hills and I could only go at a speed of 12kmph. I would like to increase my speed soon.

Wow, that's nice, biking uphill. Even if it's 12 kph means something!

@acelawrites Yes 12kmph is a good speed in climbing actually. Some people can only do it at 7kmph.

@hereandthere maybe they scheduled it during rainy months so the ground was wet and the survival rate of the tree saplings will be higher.

There is a law signed by President Benigno S. Aquino III declaring June 25 as Arbor Day or National Tree Planting Day in the Philippines where able-bodied individuals should plant at least one tree. It is not mandatory however.

Yes, it could make your heart beat so strong, but before doing the climb, you should have some physical exercises to make you do it easier, for stamina.
