The Hissing Birds Scared Me!

Have you even seen birds or heard them hiss before? Well I did yesterday when I went to the park and they were hissing at us like snakes as they were trying to protect their young from us. Obviously we meant no harm, but they did not know that and started hissing like snakes at us! It was really scary as never knew birds could hiss like that! Have you ever experienced that before?

I never heard the birds around our garden hissing! I certainly won't enjoy hearing them hissing either.

@cacay1 Yes, because I am so scared of snakes and hearing hissing sounds make my hair stand.

I have when I was out taking my walk one time. That darn mother bird even dive bombed me scared the daylights out of me. I mean I was walking in the middle of the street and the nest was way up high in the tree. I wasn't near it but mother bird must have thought I was.

@AbbyGreenhill I am pretty sure it was a starling, and from what I have heard they are a mean bird. I will attest to that.

No, I never experienced and heard birds who are hissing, I heared snakes but birds not.

Okay, that sounds a trifle odd. Are you sure the birds weren't being attacked by somebody's escaped pet snake?!

I have been hissed at by both ducks and geese when I wandered too close to them. It was sort of creepy, I will admit.
