Helen Keller was born June, 1, 1880 and died in 1968. She was lucky to have known many celebrities such as Charlie Chaplin and Eleanor Roosevelt. She also was lucky enough to have met Mark Twain when she was 14. I am so jealous!! If he were alive today he would be at the top of my bucket list. I would love to have met him.
Twain smoked between 10 and 20 cigars each day. Helen was able to recognize him and knew when he was around by the scent of his tobacco.
Helen was actually the first deaf blind person to graduate college and she did it with honors. She was also a activist, lecturer and author.
