My friends laugh at me for this--because I hated it all my life and made fun of it--but I am a huge country music fan now. I don't know what happened that I started liking it all of a sudden, but it is now my most favorite genre of music. I still like just about all other forms of music, but country is my "go-to" music choice these days.

I will admit to liking some country music but it isn't my favorite genre. I'm the same way with instrumental tho too. I used to tell people I only like music I can sing with. And now I listen to instrumental mostly these days.

@ChildofGod81 I went through a phase in college where I was really into instrumental music. It's been a while since I listened to anything that was just instrumental, but it is something I do like to hear from time to time!

I like old style hymns. The new "church music" dosen't really do anything for me.
Artist wise I like the Gaithers and Homecoming Friends.

Let Freedom Ring by the Gaithers is a really good song. It's one of my favorites.

Music is very soothing. One of my favorite things is to put in headphones and color while listening to music.

My favorite form of music is hillbilly music (I say that so no one will confuse what I mean with that pop, rock, and "hick-hop" rap that they call "country music" today).

@ChildofGod81 -- a lot of people think "old-school country" is Garth Brooks. I'm more along the lines of the Delmore Brothers and Buck Owens.

By that you mean old school country. I can hang with that.

I can relate to that. My tastes can get very eclectic as well.
