Let's Talk About Hair Colours

Changing hair colour is the fastest way to get a new look. I borrowed my friends red wig the other day and lo I look different. I kinda want to colour my hair red now but it's too bold for everyday use. I might just stick to the wig. What's the boldest hair colour you've ever had?

Thank you. That's just a wig at the moment. I usually stick to subtle or natural looking colours like brown and hazel. But I'm seriously thinking of red.

Thank you Sishy. Do you reckon it's a good idea to colour it or should I just do brown?

@flapiz Brown would be less bold, of course... but if you like the red, go for it!

@sishy7 I kinda like it but I don't want to look like a cosplayer at work.

Even when I was young I never coloured my hair - too much hassle. You look cute in that wig.

Thank you. Wig is less hassle as long as no one tries to pull my hair off.

I've tried the copper shade as well. It's actually my favourite hair colour.

Red is really trendy at the moment. A lot of the girls are wearing red hair, I like it although it's too bold for me. I usually just dye my hair blonde if I want a change. (it's brown naturally)

Red is really hot but yeah it's not for everyday look. Too fiery and noticeable. I can't get away with murder if I had red hair

I've never dyed my hair. Some say that the chemical compound can damage our hair. I scare of that.

I am aware that some hair dyes specially ones that contain ammonia is harmful for the hair and may cause cancer. That's why I pick ones with no ammonia. It's true though it can be stressful for the hair. So I need to moisturise.

Thank you. My sister told me that as well. She said red is not too professional looking on Asian skin tone I'll stick to wig.

@flapiz Yeah, too much red can make Asians look yucky but highlights are okay. :)

Well I've had gold and got a lot of "gold hair fans", though a few people were like ' sprayed hair makes a guy look like a gay and I'm sure NOT gay; I took it off shortly afterwards anyway, not necessarily because of what those few said, but because i had worn the hair for a while and thought it was time to take it off.

I want to try gold but I don't think it looks natural on an Asian.

@Fordalong Wow that's a nice advise. Yeah it doesn't have to look natural to look good on me. I might give it a go once in my life
5 Jun 16
@flapiz well it mustn't look natural to look great on you. Except you really want it to look natural. But even at that, it could still look natural on you, you never can tell how you might look in it. U could try it.

@Fordalong Oh cool someone famous!!! Did you like blue as a hair colour?
5 Jun 16
@flapiz well I've featured in a lot of movies. But in this particular movie, the shiny blue spray on my hair was because my role in the movie was to make children laugh. Somewhat like a similar role as the lead character in the movie "The Mask".

Awww thank you. I was actually thinking of doing it but I guess it's too bold I might as well stick to the wig. And less damage for my hair as well.

@Vblonde that's amazing. I was thinking I'd need to shampoo and remove my natural hair oil before dyeing it. I didn't expect we have to coat it.

@flapiz Yes, you are right... But i have a very good tip for you I dye my hair blonde and it isn't damaged at all. The secret is coating your hair in organic coconut oil the night before you dye/bleach your hair. It helps so much...
