I can't believe how much it makes

I made homemade liquid laundry soap the other week. I can't believe how much it made. It made two big jugs and two little jugs. One little jug isn't pictured. As it sits in my laundry room. I plan on making homemade febreeze and fabric softener next. The febreeze I plan on making a small amount. As I have a container for that already. I don't have one for the liquid fabric softener yet. I am thinking of making a gallon jug full after my family finishes a gallon of milk. I can't believe I have been wasting all that money when I could of made it all this time so much cheaper.

I've never attempted to make homemade laundry soap. I have an HE washer and not sure if there is a homemade version.

I do think there is a version out there for that. Not what I made thou. I have an older washer and dryer.

For me it is better to make a dry version. I do like it, however. I use white vinegar instead of liquid fabric softener, and essential oils for fragrance in things. I think it is awesome how many things you can and do make at home.

I have came across a recipe with vinegar. About how much of it do you use? I have a few essential oils. Which ones do you think works best? I haven't try making a dry version yet. I also want to try making laundry pods. As I think those would make great Christmas gifts.

I have to be careful what type of laundry detergent I use as some I start to break out with as I have sensitive skin.

I loved making my own laundry soap. I need to start doing it again. I bet these large cat litter boxes would hold a whole batch. I tried making the febreeze but found that the baking soda clumped and it wouldn't come out of the sprayer so I was disappointed. I just use vinegar for fabric softner and love it.

I have made the dry before, but not the liquid. I use essential oils in my laundry, especially anything my dogs used or anything that may have been sitting. Lemon oil is awesome. Just a couple drops in the load and it will help the laundry smell fresh. I also use thieves oil when anyone has been sick and that will act as a disinfectant. Since I groom dogs and have a pack of dogs at home, if fleas ever become a problem, I will add 1/2 c of the original blue Dawn dish soap to my laundry. Dawn kills fleas on contact, so it is great! How did your soap smell?

My soap smelled awesome. I like the scent. I have a few of the oils but not sure what they are good. Except to scent stuff.
