The latest word on the street is that Hermione Granger, from the Harry Potter series, actually kept her maiden name when she got married. That got me thinking, it's not that uncommon for women to keep their maiden name when they get married as it used to be.
Did you keep your last name when you got married?
I did not. I changed mine but that marriage ended in a divorce and I'm now back to my maiden name once again. If I get married again I plan on changing my last name to his as I did before.
Maybe you're not married, would you ever change your last name in the future after getting married?

In my country, our maiden name is the only legal last name we have. Some people change it socially, but you will not have that in your passport or IC.
I used my married last name only when I needed an easy last name of Spanish ogoring. Otherwise, people would have trouble writing it.

If ever, I think I'll take my husband's last name.

I'm single. If I'll get married in the future, I intend to retain my own surname. No plans of changing or using my future husband's last name (in case I'll get married).

I can relate. I can't believe how much it costs and all the paperwork you have to do to change names and such. I had to change my name on everything twice so I think if I do change my name again that's it, that will be the last time that I will want to change it no matter what happens.

Same reason l decided to keep my x husband`s name, changing everything could have been too much trouble.
I plan to keep his name, as long as he does not demand l drop the name but l think it`s too late for that now,we`ve been divorced 9 years.
