This is not just a movie because it is based on the true story. Neerja was a flight attendant and she was brave to save the passengers and scarified herself. She died when she was 23 years old. Although I don't often watch Indian Movies and I don't get used to some parts of it, but this story is still very touching. Wish the world can be peaceful so that less victim people will die like this.

@else34 Yes, especially at that time there was no internet and the news would not be updated so soon.

@youless Neerja was martyred perhaps in or before 1987.At that time we were too young to know about incidents taking place in different countries.

I was so moved by the movie I cried endlessly towards the end of the movie, though I usually don't cry. And I really wished that this movie reaches global audience.Because Bollywood does not have such a wide global audience,so really glad you watched it.

Compare to other Indian movies, this movie doesn't last so long time anyway.

There a lot of movies about planes and sacrificies people have had to make. A lot of them are heavily dramatized though, even if they are actually based off of truth. I watched a movie that if I remember correctly, was produced in India. It was hard to follow at first. It was a mostly silent movie, and there was a lot of confusing things going on. I finally caught on to what was going on. It was of three girls, a mother and her two children, living in an abandoned home with no running water or electricity. The mother and older sister were very very strict on the younger one and she didn't feel it was fair on her. The mother was strict on both of them though, early to bed, early to rise, and the way they had to dress and act. Of course they didn't go out very often, and when they did it took a lot of time and effort to get to and from the town. I don't remember a lot of the details, and what I do remember I think I am confusing with other movies. I do remember that we find out the older sister had actually had a miscarriage when she was about the same age as the little sister. I think this was partially the reasoning for them living alone.. The mother wanted them to be holy.
