Would you prefer a painful truth or a beautiful lie?

How would you feel if a person with great power would express his thoughts publicly even if a lot of people also in power will be put in a bad situation. It has always been discussed by a lot of people that some people in authority would make cover ups just to make face to the public. I personally believe that the truth should always be considered in all matters concerning the majority. Following this process would make a better community wherein people will not be scared and everyone will have equal chances of making good in society.

That's a tough call. We all know that we should always choose to go by the truth, but not everyone do as they say. Some people cannot handle the truth as well, so that makes it even more complicated.

It truly is complicated. It feels good to have the freedom to express but it would not feel right to step on others in the process. But however we handle truth and lies, realities will always be real.

I would definitely prefer the truth, no matter how much it hurt.

Personally, I would prefer getting hurt being served with the truth, rather than be kept in the dark with a beautiful lie. A cover up or lie or a farce for any manner you call it and for whatever reasons done, in the end it still is a lie. The end will not justify the means for me. Truth will always be equated with honesty.

I also believe so . I would rather be hurt by a truth , than be feeling good because of a beautiful lie. The truth will always be discovered so when it happens it would bring a greater sorrow to everyone.

Truth can be painful, but, forewarned is forearmed; at least you can deal with it. A beautiful lie can eventually turn into a disastrous truth beyond repair.
