Removable or non-removable battery for smartphones?

There has been a debate on which phones perform better. Many are used to the removable batteries but the devices that are being released these days are normally equipped with non-removable batteries. I have been using a phone with a removable battery and it has not failed me. I recently bought a phone for my wife which is designed with a non-removable battery. One thing I have noticed is it heats up easily. There were also several instances while recording a video and it would be cut short because of temperature issues. It made me think that it may need a radiator. I have several friends who had the same issue with different phones and brands. What do you think?

It seems that many new phones come with non removable batteries and most of them have this heating problem. I have a phone with removable battery and it works very well.

I am using a 3 year old phone. My sister just bought an Iphone and she has a Samsung that she has been using for 3 years. I bought it from her and it works fine for me. I have no complaints so far. Of course the performance is a bit behind because of the hardware considering that the model is one of the fastest 3 years ago. Up to now, I think non-removable battery on phones are the best way to go. I think it will also be cheaper should you have problems with the phone's battery in the future.

I use an iPhone and iPhones don't have removable batteries and I haven't encountered such problem like your wife did. Several years ago I used a Samsung android phone and it was a high end model and of course with removable battery coz I even have a spare one and it heats up as

I have heard a lot of good things about Iphones. I have yet to try one. I just can't see myself spending so much on a thing. There are several options which offer the same power as the Iphone or even better. Here in the Philippines, it seems that owning an Iphone is a status symbol. I am not against it but I just see it as impractical.

@jhaidro I don't think there are no other options that's better than iPhone when it comes to non removable battery. I have tried all the best phones out in the market and I don't have the iPhone as a status symbol. I have it coz it's the only phone that has served me well without causing any problem. And it's very convenient for synchronizing with the rest of my gadgets.
