Are You Lazy?

I am and I am rather proud of it. What, you don't think it is a good trait? I beg to differ. I think it made me an excellent employee. I like to expend as little energy as possible to do whatever needs doing. So I find the fastest and easiest way to do things. The same is true in all the aspects of my life. By finding easier and faster ways to do the necessary tasks of life, I allow myself more free time to do things I enjoy like Mylotting!! Being lazy doesn't mean that I don't work, it just means I work efficiently. I guess since I am not a total couch potato anymore I may have to rethink just how lazy I am but trust me, no one likes a nap better than this lazy bones!!

I do not believe I am lazy, I am always around doing something, so much that my neighbors tell me to stop and rest.

I am very busy but I can still manage to be lazy, I don't like to use up all my energy and I have it in abundance

@BelleStarr I have always been unable to rest since I was very young, but I think I should slow down now.

If you work at all, you're not lazy, you're smart :) I'm one of those people that will work hard now so I don't have to work as hard later. I've been known to spend hours creating an excel spreadsheet that I know is going to save me 5 minutes out of every hour next week. I don't agree that you're lazy. I think you're amazing for finding efficient ways of doing things :)

lol I assume that it is my laziness that fuels my efficiency, time saved is time to just chill so while I am often busy I look forward to just sitting quietly and vegging.

@ChildofGod81 I guess I am a functional lazy bones, I do my work before I veg!! I am not the kind of lazy that doesn't have a job and expects a handout..

@BelleStarr I guess I just don't agree with the lazy word. I guess when I think of lazy people I think of people who don't even do what they are supposed to, because they would rather be vegging. Not the people who get what needs to be done, done quickly so they have time to rest.

Ahhhh alrighty then @BelleStarr 1. Do house work in small increments IF I'm in the mood ..... stressing IF 2. My fingers do most of the heavy stuff, punching keys is easy on de ole bod. 3. Stare at the dishes to see if they'll wash themselves, ok, I'll wash a pot when I want to cook something to eat. Is that lazy enough to give ya a run fer da money?

I've read that naps can make a person more productive. I wonder if that is true.

I also like to be lazy for a while. I like to take a lazy nap in the afternoons when ever I am at home. At office ofcourse its not possible, but I take a nap during my travel time. It takes almost 1 hr and 15 mins to reach office. If I get a seat in the bus I doze off! :)

no ... I'm not lazy... I sometimes need a dose of motivation to do somethings... lol's ... and unfortunately do not have the knack of finding the easy or most effiecient way of doing things ... so sometimes the job takes a bit longer or turns into another job as well... hence the need for motivation sometimes ... lol's ... love the photo... that looks like me ... contemplating.... lol's

I have too much energy to be lazy. I have slight OCD, so I clean and tidy all the time. I say it's my moms fault, she was the worst.

I think you have earned it. It is tough to say whether I am lazy. In a way I am as I avoid work out of the ordinary But there is a reason as I want comfort in what I do. Now the main reason is to be on the computer with Mylot site minimized to check often. I feel I have seen much in life in terms of how others live and mostly without fulfillment despite society considering them as rich. I feel having time to do what we like is wealth, even to ponder what life is about - siva

You are right, wealth is not measured in what you have but rather in what you have done and the legacy you leave behind. You can't take your wealth with you but your good deeds will be with you always.

I must say Iz- I'm a little like you- but I do get nagged by my own conscience- and yeah- what's wrong with a nap- I only started to know the joys of napping in the past few years and am glad to say I am quite good at it- lol! Btw thanks for the prayer line- my surgery went swimmingly however I am now suffering from sciatic nerve pain that comes and goes- I will talk to my doctor when I see him next week. Not sure if it's from the surgery or from having to use the walker. Probably both. So keep up the good work and throw a few extra prayers in please for an end to it- it is quite painful. Thanks again. :)

I will for sure say prayers and put the sciatic pain on the prayer line as well. I am glad the surgery went well. Napping is an art and one we all need to cultivate. I will save a spot for you in the lazybones club!! lol

I don't think I am lazy, I might just be more relaxed about something , or not worry about them or move as fast as someone else would.

I am definitely lazy, I could happily just do nothing most of the time, by nothing I mean being online and working but that only expends brain activity not physical activity lol
