Dumb Things

What is the dumbest thing you've ever done? I know I've done things that were dumb and I'd like to forget. Of course, at the time I didn't think they were dumb. Thankfully, nothing I ever did resulted in unfortunate consequences. That's more credit to God than me.
It does seem they usually happen when we're younger. I guess we do learn from our mistakes.

Let's see...there are so many to choose from. One that stands out is when, after buying groceries, I went to get my car so I could drive up to the side of the grocery store to load my sacks. Only I didn't. I got in my car and drove home. So humiliating.

This is one supper dumb thing that I did. I was waiting hours for a roast to get done. Finally I went to check on the roast. And guess what I forgot to turn the stove on. The roast was still raw. So I had to fix something else for supper.

I really should not be allowed to respond to this discussion, because there is not just 1 really dumb thing that I've done, there is a whole life time of them! And yes, we always taught our son, that we will always have lots if we learn a lesson from every mistake that we make, that way we turn the negative into a positive.

I have done so many. The latest is the most frustrating because it's right now. I drove all the way to the city this morning to do mystery shops and left the paper work I needed on the printer at home!!! Now I am at the library (which I had to drive all over to find) printing and paying for the paperwork. Okay, better get away from myLot and go do the work now.
It is so nice to spend a few minutes without all the pop up nonsense I have on my computer at home!

We all make mistakes, I know that we can never go back. But the thing is, how can we learn, if you don't make mistakes

I think the dumbest thing I ever tried to do was run away from home without knowing where to go or how to get there. I think I was about 8 years ago. One of the neighbors saw me standing on the side of the road in front of her house trying to make up my mind. She called my mom up and told her; and my mom told her to send me home.

My life is full of dumb mistakes, some small and some big. I guess my worse one is dropping out of high school. It's something I will regret for the rest of my life and I can't change. Fortunately, I can make sure my nephews, nieces, and any (possible) future children will never make!

Dumb things i've done when i was young were more of for fun than dumb. So i never really considered them dumb, just an act of immaturity. Which i learned not to do again as i grow older.
