Do we depend on the Social Media for our emotional needs?

I'm describing a scene at home yesterday, which made me sit up and think. The whole family was sitting, chatting. But not to each other! Each one of us was holding our mobile phones, busy carrying out conversations with our friends in the virtual world! It made me feel rather scared. Have we lost the ability to interact in the actual world and are too dependent on social media (Whatsapp, Fb, Twitter and what not)? What will happen in future?

Yes i think so. I think that there is a dependence of this...and this is not good becouse we forget what is important...real life...and time goes by without having real memories

We should set some time for social network sites. An hour max..one solution I thought is not to install apps instead use the web pages..this way we can be away from notifications.
