News of married couples getting seprated/divorced are very frequent nowadays... 10 - 15 years back here it was considered as a social sin... now people have atleast started to accept such scenario unwillingly... but sustained marriages are realy blessed...? Are the couples happy there...? Can we say such marriages are successful just because not broken...?

The increased rate of separations and divorces are posing a serious threat to institution of marriage in times to come. Moreover when people see their role models getting separated and divorced gives them more belief on separations. However it depends on case to case. There are people who think divorce as time pass and not respect marriage at all. Such people even if remarried will not survive in marriage for long.

Some people still married even though they're unhappy for reasons that divorce isn't available to them and society condemns broken marriages. And obviously it couldn't be considered a successful one.

I've always believed in the advantage of divorce and annulment but I don't like the fact that people accept it as a resolution. The stronghold of marriage still depends on the couple on how they work things out but in the event that they are rules and rights ruined then divorce becomes an option to prevent further pain but it should be the last resort. Or should I say, marriage should not be the answer or resolution. Don't marry for money, lust or social status then end up getting divorced.
