It is a magical light made of the hand of a dead man. The hand will be severed from the dead body (corpse) and it was dried in a woven. Later it will be soaked in a melted fat of a black tomcat.The finger each will serve as a candle and the human wrapped around a finger served as wicks. The common folk used it as a protection against evil. The thieves and burgla rs are the favorites of the hand of glory. The only way to stop the power of the hand once ignited was to douse it with either milk or blood.Water alone can not extinguish its flames.
