How often do you change your Mobile Phone?

Nowadays, almost everyone owns a mobile phone, some may even own more than one. Technology is continuously improving. We are also continuously upgrading our mobile phones. There could be other reasons of upgrading our mobile phones too. Some would change it when: 1) there is new arrival of new models, 2) in need of higher capacity, 3) lost it, 4) spoiled it, Or, may be some other reasons. How often do you change yours? The "old" me would change when there are new models which I like, but not anymore now. Guess I will use till it is not workable... this also avoid the hassle of downloading and transferring what is stored to the new device.

I usually change my phone every 24 months when my telco service provider gives me a new free one. My present phone, however, will be replaced with a new one after 30 months which would be in March 2017.

@sunrisefan Wow 7th free phone.. worth waiting. We don't always get it free here. Usually we have to pay but at a lower price with a contract.

Usually around once every 2 years because I am on contract and I am allowed a new mobile every 2 years. Of course I do not rush out and claim one. First I check what is currently available and if there is no model that particularly appeals to me then I shall wait.

@bloglog It is also worth waiting after the contract has expired for a desired model to be released.

Seems most contracts are for 2 years. The same goes over here. It is worth the wait for a preferred model till contract ends.

Every time iPhone releases a new one except the one they released early this year which is actually a downgrade that's why I didn't get it. Waiting for the iPhone 7 plus if there will be one.

it's ok, it happens to many. I may not be that clingy though, but I will make sure I bring it to wherever I go

I don't like to change my phone too often. Since I have a phone, I changed four times. For the first time, I kept enough money and I changed a phone that was better and more beautiful than the old one. For the second time, I bought a new phone because the old one was lost. For the three time, my husband bought a new iphone to me, then I changed. For the last time, I change the newest one because my iphone was lost. Do you think I change my phone too often?

I am a firm believer of using things for what it is meant for. So for music I will use my Ipod and not my phone. For pictures (other than selfie) I would use a camera. This ensures that the phone works for more time and does not get spoilt. I also do not like changing phones just because a new one has entered the market. I prefer using a phone which I have been using for some time rather than learning the new options every year.

my mobile barely lasts a year, I attribute this to new models, but thanks to this technology, I can now participate in this discussion!
