Do You Get Dressed in the Bathroom or Your Bedroom After a Shower?

My grown daughter was discussing that she does not like to get dressed in the bathroom after showering. She likes to get dressed in her bedroom. A friend of hers could not understand that. Of course, I started pondering and wondering the statistics on getting dressed in the bathroom versus the bedroom. What is your preference?

I always dress in the bedroom after a shower. I find it to be too damp in the bathroom after a shower. I go to the bedroom and cool off and then get dressed.

@Katlynn Right. That's why I get dressed in the bedroom. I need to have it cooler to get dressed. Otherwise the clothes stick to me. And that I don't like.

Yes you get too clammy dressing in the bathroom.

Yes, it is damp in the bathroom after a shower, especially a hot shower.

I get dressed in the bathroom because I have children and my bedroom is too far away from the bathroom.

That makes perfect sense. The bathroom not being near a bedroom makes a difference.

@Katlynn If the bed room is near or outside bathroom is very convenient to showers.

That is true, a personal choice.

As I now have my own bathroom, I still dress in my bedroom because it is private. Who wants to dress in a steamy bathroom?

The privacy in a bedroom is a factor. Plus, you have everything you need to get dressed in a bedroom, items you might have forgotten to take to the bathroom.

I thought your title said, "Do you get depressed in the bathroom or bedroom after your shower?" Reading comprehension, Genipher! Pay attention!!

LOL I sometimes read things incorrectly even though my reading skills are very good. I also type words that are spelled correctly, but words I did not mean to type. Not sure if they would be counted as typos or not lol

@Katlynn I was sitting there thinking, "Which one do I choose? Bedroom or bathroom?" and then, "But why would I be depressed in either?!" And then I read it again and slapped my forehead when I read it correctly. The other day my grammar was off. I used the wrong "there" in a discussion. Twice. My husband caught it and shook his finger at me (he's a bigger Grammar Nazi than I am!) and fixed it for me. I was soooo embarrassed. What does that say when you're embarrassed by a misspelled word but not, say, when your child has an accident in the grocery store?

A wet bathroom does make getting dressed more difficult.

For me, there is no choice as I share the room with my mother, and I use the bathroom attached to the bedroom.

Some interesting responses. It seems that it isn't always a matter of preference, but circumstances as well.

I also prefer to get dressed in my room because I have everything I need in there. I do not have to tie up the bathroom longer than necessary since I live with other people. It takes me a long time to get ready and I prefer not to be rushed if possible. I have gotten dressed in bathroom when I have had to such as when my partner needs to use the fan to dry her hair and I do not like to have that air blowing on me when I am putting on lotion after a shower. I also will dress in the bathroom when I am staying over someone's home if necessary.

I prefer to get dressed in the bedroom. The bathroom is always humid and stuffy after a shower...

That is true and even if you dry off well, it still seems your body is damp in a humid and stuffy bathroom.

A hot shower makes the bathroom very steamy, so preferring the bedroom makes sense.

At home I get dressed in my room. At school or someone else's home I get dressed in the bathroom. Sometimes at school I will go to my room and get dressed.

We have an en-suite bathroom so when we get dressed it can be in both places at the same time. But I have to say I get dressed in my bedroom and always have done (even when using the house bathroom).

I get dressed in the bathroom. I bring everything in there and since it is there get dressed there.
