Woke up to a rude call in the AM + Voice Message

United States
June 7, 2016 12:11pm CST
This morning I woke up to a rude call at 7:30 AM, obviously I am not going to pick the call especially since I am unfamiliar with the number. Not only did this person call early but left a voice message! Her message stated, that "I" had no right to authorize her credit card of $103. I must reverse it ASAP or else she will have to call someone else. She gave me a reference number in regards to her credit card being charged. First off, why would you leave a message with personal info with a number you do not know. Plus, my voice message says is a generic one with my name recorded.. Personally if I was calling a number I may not be familiar with - I would just state my name and for the person to call back at their convienence in regards to whatever it may be this case "unauthorized purchase". What a start of my day, being annoyed! Obviously she got the wrong number!

One reason why we don't have phones in the bedroom, then we don't have to have stupid calls interrupt our sleep. You are right though about the fact that some people don't think about the message they leave.

That is a good solution. I should put my cell phone on silence when I sleep now. But she did not think to leave such a rude comment, knowing this is not even the correct number. I looked her up, the phone # and she's a relator.

@infatuatedbby It doesn't seem to matter how intelligent they are they become a fool when wronged.

I'd be too tempted to text back confirming the person's "new order" for the amount of $1003 and thanking them for their patronage. Can you tell I'm not a morning person?

Ha-ha That would sure give her a panic attack. Thank you for your call to authorize your new order in the amount of $1,003. She would think I am crazy haha..

@infatuatedbby Wow! That is even more unprofessional. Maybe, she got the number mixed up, or she was told your number.

It was obviously a wrong number. I have gotten stuff like that. One day, I came home to a message from Social Services in another county. They said that they know I am hiding three children and they are coming for me. It was news to me. There is hardly room for me in this place. I don't know where I would hide three children. Maybe under the kitchen table?

Wow. Hiding 3 children, some people need to learn how to leave vague messages and not ones that are threatening, demanding, etc. because chances are they could have the wrong number.

They never called back and no one ever came here. Maybe they figured out it was a wrong number. Or they found the kids. I don't know.

Idiots. I utilize the blocking option on my phone and cable. That way they may call once but won't call again.
