I am livid right now! My boyfriend came home and my daughter. My daughter Walks in to my bedroom as I was changing clothes. Telling me they are hungry. I told her your both big enough to go fix lunch. Go get yourselves something. You know I just went to the store yesterday. Any ways he leaves saying he got called out. After leaving he calls me saying he has to drive to one place to another. (He drives tow truck. ) It will be along haul. This is why he can't fix himself something to eat. What really? I told him. You never let me know you was coming home. You can't expect me to whip something up when I have no idea you will be there. Plus, I was changing clothes. Nor was I asked. Only demanded. Now mind you I am happy to fix lunch, dinner or breakfast for him or my family. However, I will not have it demanded. Where was the please can you? Or I am in a hurry and on the way to next job. Can you please?

You are right. By demand should not be the way to go. If they knew ahead, perhaps let you know. otherwise, Find their own way of eating.

That is why they came home. No call, text or warning. No regard to what I was doing. Only demanded for me to stop what I was doing and serve them. I had no clue.

I am sure he realizes that if he demands it your not going to do it-or at least you won't want to so I don't understand why he couldn't just ask nicely. You would have done it without a second thought if he just asked nicely. Some people just don't get it...

So there! And you're from...where? Did they name the town after you? Just rattlin' yer chain :-) Nothing wrong with standing up for yourself.

I've trained my husband and kids better than that. If I take too long to start dinner the kids will do it themselves. My husband will fix me food anytime I say I'm hungry. He knows I won't cater to him, and if he really needs me to he will beg me and act like I'm doing him a huge favor.. which honestly, I am!

I do not blame you for reacting the way you did. I would have done the same thing. He knew he was in a hurry, he could've called you and told you what was up, just like he did when you didn't drop everything to fix him something when he demanded. As far as that goes, he could've went through a drive thru window and grabbed a sandwich if it was that big of a deal.
