Annoying Spam

I don't normally let spam email bother me too much, because it's just a part of life in the 21st century. But the last 24 hours have been really annoying.
Somehow a company selling investment property has got hold of both mine and my mother's email addresses, and now they're bombarding us with offers to buy a retirement property to rent out.
In the course of the last 24 hours the identical email has arrived at both email addresses SEVEN TIMES EACH.
Sure they offer the opportunity to unsubscribe from their so-called newsletter, but when I receive spam I don't click on any links, so I was forced to block their address. And even as I'm writing this post, an eighth copy has just landed up in my junk folder. This is really crazy.
Have you ever been bombarded by spam in this way?

@crazyhorseladycx I wish I knew how they got our addresses. The fact that they have both mine and my Mom's makes me wonder whether they got them from some financial institution. My Mom hardly uses email at all, so very few people have her address.

@crazyhorseladycx I know that and I'm not particularly surprised when I get spam addressed to me, but my Mom's email is used so little that there shouldn't really be many people who have access to her address.

I receive numerous spam mails. However, I block every such mailer through a website.

@Gina145 - It is possible. May be some technical glitch.

@dpk262006 I think so, because it's not good for business to annoy potential customers too much.

@dpk262006 I get quite a lot too, but none as troublesome as that one. I've only found one email from them in my spam folder since then, so I suspect that something went wrong that day that caused the same email to be sent out so frequently.
