Being Self dependent, proud or guilt for husband?

We are the woman, we have privilege to be self independent, we have privilege to be like a king, we have privilege to take our own decisions ourselves then why men feels guilty if their wives became self independent?
I met my friend shivani yesterday and she was crying with these kind of questions., I realised, and tried to find out their answers...

We have the right to be independent and men do not feel guilty, they take on their ego that how can a women earn better than me, it just the male dominated society which makes them feel so. If the child is taught from the beginning that women are equal to you then I do not think that these men would behave in such way.

@shreyashi what you say is true.. but the scenario has changed a lot..i dont deny that it exists in few places ..but not everywhere

@divinebee it is changing with the education and morality that mothers are passing on to their son.

Some men cannot handle a woman who can do everything herself. They feel the need to be the one in control and when their not they don't know how to handle it. Not all men are like this though, only some.

there is an old saying "if you have gained power to show other people below you or to show others bad, you are never powerful .. you are just protecting yourself from fear. "..
as a man i can tell you i never get guilt or egotistic with women gaining anything above than men. . but we don't like it if we are treated badly with that power.. not even women like to be treated that way..

Kratika,morning dear.. not every woman is dependent and not every women is ill treated.. yes, there are few of them who undergo all of this.. But that is purely because of 2 reasons..
1. Women dont stand up for themselves
2. Circumstances
Eitherways.. its our life and only we can make things fall in place..

Men know what other men think about girls at their workplace. When wife started doing job they know how their fellow companion think & attempt on her.

@kratika one who is doing a service is called servant, right? If your husband treat you like a queen in his house than why to become a servant of someone else at work?
