Now days our young generation have less interest in religion. They do less fast, visit less to religion place or visit by no reverence. I was one of them. But by the time I realize that due to this lack of reverence in religion people are more exposed to the risk of depression and anxiety. Religion's second name is hope and involving less in this lead them to no hope and by this they can go in depression. I can bet that one out of three young person are in depression and they are not enjoying their life and they have no way to get out of it. If you are one of them then do follow me. In the next blog I will further explain how to get out of it. Trust me you can get out of that hell.

I wonder where you've got your insight from. It's good for you that you feel religion helps you. But assuming that non-believers don't enjoy their lives and are depressive is taking things too far. I find this even insulting.

sorry first of all if you think that i m insulting but my point is one who doesn't believe in religion(here by religion i mean that to have faith in hope) there are chances that he can feel alone and depressed in his life

@neelamblog That is your point of view. Of course, you can believe it but you shouldn't try to sell it as if it were true for everybody. Ardent believers of all religions can fall into a deep depression and ardent atheists can be the happiest people.

Religion can be a bane or boon both. Sometimes it gives you hope and sometimes it just give you false sense of hope and you start relying too much on your fate to achieve your goals rather than working towards it.

mm!! well said.. but then this would apply to all things which exist in this world.. excess of everything is wrong whether it is relying on something or something else.

To be honest no religion is perfect and none of them free from corruption.

Depression is a plague that affects the atheist and the pious alike. Depression is a symptom of a bad lifestyle and toxic environment. Yes I agree that religion can help conquer depression since it instills the person with a proper lifestyle and supportive environment. More people are exposed to depression and anxiety? I don't think so, it has always been there however today it is much more easier to spot. Like colds and flu, we did not think they existed a thousand years ago but they have always been with us ever since.

Depression can also be a genetic thing. *Nothing* helps against it if this is the case.
