Learning is a life long journey. Now it is more so as we have to stay up to date with technology invading virgin territory with scams hunting more the naïve and the innocent.
Today, there was warning of scams targeted at the elderly like some package is held up and money transfer needed to release the item. Many have fallen victim as they were vulnerable and trusting.
There are always the vultures among us looking for easy prey. The victims are also blamed in the process for being too trusting.
Life is a challenge as we have to meet many along the journey. We need to find balance in whatever we do like trust others but also be discerning. Now I help to an extent I can afford to lose the sum if not repaid. The irony is I have been let down by the rich while the poor fall more in dire straits without the means to honor their words.
These are realities that can never be taught but learned more by bitter experiences but we should never lose hope in the goodness of the majority.

@ModernDayWriter I would say a change in attitude will do the trick.
I try my best to convert the 99 days into positive days by taking them as challenges to overcome.

Happy for you. You are lucky that you know those you come into contact on a regular basis.
Modern technology has spread its tentacles everywhere.
Like many I get messages that are scams as I know there are no free lunches anywhere.
Recorded message telling of a parcel to be delivered is one of them.
The parcel is held up for some reason needing prior remittance to deliver.
That is the current one and few have parted with their money - siva

What are the realities of life? How can we understand them? Are they the same as the truths of life?
Realities hit you over the head with themselves, truths never do. Realities are harsh and come from the fears, of the karmic load of the populace or from their collective karmic responses over time, so people learn from karma the hard way.
These realities of how, if you go against love, karma will hit you in the end with its own version of love, which might appear to be a type of punishment for you, but which never is, are the only realities, that you can learn from.
On the other hand, love's truths, gotten (or understood) right away, and lived fully from will never incur any karma for you, even if you are abused by others for following these truths.
The abuser's will bear the karma for their own response, and you for yours, but you will not incur this karma if you remain following only love.
The harsher realities will wash over outwardly your inner blanket of love, but inwardly you will always keep warm and cosy in your heart, because you will know, just know, that you have done the right thing by yourself.
Perhaps that's the only real reality.

"Some realities can never be taught"
Is this true? Can our attitude about these realities be taught, or moved to be more right?
Attitude is an upper/outer crust on the bread of love, and this cannot be taught, but must be caught.
When you live from love, either partially or totally, your attitude to living will come with this love, out from you then, whereas realities must be faced, and they can only be fully understood when this right attitude is in place too.
Nothing can be learnt from non-love and from the wrong attitude, which in effect is having no attitude, not caring, or being non-loving.

When we act out of love then nothing can faze us - we are above the ups and downs that others go through and even fear to face.
Some take realities as part of life and even welcome, revel in them. But one has to have the right attitude to treat all impostors the same way. I recall the famous lines of Kipling:
"If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;"
We have to keep our eyes and ears open and swim with the tide but stay our course too - siva
