My Vivofit is trying to kill me.

So I jumped on board with our work incentive program. We all had the chance to purchase a personal Garmin Vivofit 2. I was excited! So I jumped all in, set it up connected it with a nutrition app and away I go.
Three days into it, I am jumping up from my writing to run up and down the stairs until my red bar disappears. I hate missing goals, so as the Vivofit increases my daily steps, I am doing my best to keep up.
I love a good challenge, but I am just tired today! I have 879 steps to my goal and my bar just beeped at me, so I am up and down the stairs to make my goal before I go to bed tonite.
Am I the only one who is trying to keep two steps ahead of this crazy device ?

@trivia79 it is a fitness band worn on your arm. It tracks your steps and tells you when you need to get up and move. Each day the device I have, gives suggested steps needed per day and it continues to increase daily. I am sure it will stop increasing after a time, but for now I am up to over 8,000 steps expected.
If you like to compete with yourself, it can be a great motivator. If you need a little reminder, it is there for you. I synced it with a nutrition app, that also tracks calories in and the exercise is added for calories out. Balance those and weightloss is will happen.
I really like the device and already feel a difference after 10 days. Mine is not as "fancy" as some, but it works great for me :-)

I am not familiar with the Vivofit, but I have a FitBit that can be very insistent when it comes to making my daily steps. Not an easy thing now with my arthritic hip. I hope to be able to make the danged device happy again when I get the new hip next summer.

I hear you DW... I am saying this all in fun. I enjoy the challenge and am exited to have lost some weight so far. I just have to learn to adjust. Isn't that what it is all about?l

@WriterGirl44 Indeed, as we become more seasoned, we have to become more willing to change our patterns to accommodate our new ability levels.
Notice how I danced around saying I'm getting old.
