The house is very silent

When a house has no children around, it is very empty, lonely and silent. I found my parents house now a condemned one. My sister in law got her remaining children when I was not around and that was yesterday. She did it because she doesn't want to be disturbed of her plans in getting the kids and she's very successful in doing it. When I feed my Mom, she's observing the silence of the house, she's looking somewhere, I think, she misses the kids who used to run everywhere and keep on shouting while they're playing. My Mom only eats 4 teaspoon of rice, half slice of beefsteak and a slice of mango then stops. I hope, my sister in law will return the children or if not, our house is not a home in the absence of the kids who gives happiness to the old folks. Am I right to say that a house is very silent if there's no kids around?

Certainly a house with children is much noisier but I'm not sure everyone wants children around all the time. I guess it depends on the kids.

Your sister in law might have missed her kids.Is she and the kids not living with her in laws? That is true, a house used to have kids become lonely and empty. Your mum surely gets sad and feeling empty this time.

I met my friend and I told him don't make a big house, when you're getting old, the children will leave you and work in the town. Only two person left, then when your partner gone. The house is silent and empty. Dust and lizard will make you busy lo. Only the house will get busy when all come home but when? I hope I earn a small house then.

Sometimes, I felt the same way, I don't like the noise of the kids but when they laugh, that's the most missed part when they are not around, I miss the noise of their laughter.

Our old folks don't matter the disorganized house because of the presence of the kids, they just want that the kids comes back, they love the noise and the ending laughter of the kids.

Our house is quiet when my kids aren't around. As much as it is nice to have some quiet, I love having my kids here as well. They do bring joy and fun around here.

I agree with you. When my boys goes to college, our house is very silent and I always cry because I miss there daily activities and their noise makes me miss them. We love when our kids are with us even they brought some irritating noise but bearable.

A empty and silent house really make the elder people feel sad and lonely. The kids and children really help a lot , make them happy and improve their health too.
