Weekend should be planned.First preference to partner. If he/she has nothing than planning can be done with family, friends or relatives.

@bsameep That is what I am trying to determine. If the husband was already aware of wife's plan then he shouldn't have planned an outing out of the blue. If he was unaware the wife shouldn't have planned anything without telling him.

Planning should be done by both he and she.

@divinebee I personally believe that having space for anyone, friends, family and partner, is a good thing. Gives you time to have time apart to miss each other.

@VivaLaDani13 ....and it should be equally distributed. Not concentrated on a single person. It hurts others and that is neglect which is a bad...bad thing!

While I like personal space, I feel it's important to spend quality time as well. It doesn't have to be any place overly nice, just spending time with one's spouse is nice.

Sensitive area is relationship between two people. Feelings should be taken care by both partners then only the relation will be good. Ego should not have space between them.

if he already know what you are doing, it's really annoying. it's like he is stealing some time from you and your cousins.

i think it should be clear ,at least to the one you love most, your husband should have made the decision after talking to you.in my case any ones personal interest should not be hampered .and i would give the way to my wife

Well, as much as possible I want to hang out with my friends, but most of the time I'll go with the boyfriend. If the boyfriend is at work, I can be with my friends.

Why don't you tag along your husband to watch a movie... or invite your buddy to have dinner with you. That way you can spend the night with them. Just a suggestion though.
