Mother Kills Her Own Children

The unthinkable happened in a suburb of my city earlier this week. Police and firemen were called to a home that was on fire and found a mother and her two children dead inside the house. It's now been determined the mother drowned her two children, ages 10 and 5, before setting the house on fire and letting herself die in the fire. She locked all the doors and windows from the inside to prevent help from getting to them in time.
My cousin 5 year old knew the children and remembers the oldest always telling her funny jokes on the bus ride home from school.
What kind of thing could have pushed that woman to this point? To the point where she was so overtaken by madness that she killed her own children?

It's really sad!
I can only say that despite our tendency as human beings we judge each person
I prefer to avoid it, the truth is that no matter how much we try we will never reach a situation like this woman
I once heard a beautiful sentence that says that one of the toughest decisions you'll need to get through life is the choice between giving up and try harder

Same thing which made her immolate herself. That seems harder to me than killing one's children.

I saw one episode in Oprah show where she interviewed mothers who killed their children. There was one woman who killed her fist baby coz she was so annoyed from the crying. Then she gives birth to another baby and did the same thing. It was awful.

A mother gives birth to a child and nobody can expect this from a mother under any circumstances. The children are dearest to a mother. She is supposed to be a goddess of mercy.
I have also heard such unbelievable incidents. There must have been something black at the bottom.

I ask myself the same question any time anyone goes and harms children especially their own.
