So sorry I haven't been here in almost a week. My husband and I decided to take a fishing trip on the spur of the moment. So I haven't been here. We did fairly well on the trip, caught lots of different species of fish. For me I enjoyed the walleye and the white bass the most. Pound for pound the white bass really give a good fight.
So glad to be home I am going to just sit and gather my strength. Not going to do much at all today. But I think I can type and read what I have been missing,.
On another note I did get home in the early afternoon yesterday and was able to track my son's flight from Athens. I have to admit I cried when he called me after getting through customs at Newark Airport. He had a two hour flight to catch to get back to Michigan, but he was on American soil and I will be forever grateful he is home and safe. He needs a few days to acclimate to the huge time change and then he is going to come home for a few days. I can't wait, I haven't seen him since March and this mom needs a big hug and many kisses.
I can't seem to get a picture posted here today anyone else having problems. I think I will restart my computer and see if that helps.

No we ate some while we were out camping but the rest we throw back. We mostly catch and release to help keep the lakes healthy. I have seen all to often people taking way more than they should, so I do a small part of keeping the fish in the lake to help the fish population. Thanks I'm relieved he is home and safe.

@fishtiger58 That is very responsible of you. Here, people are usually limited as to the number of different fish species they can catch - and the size.

@JudyEv Same here there are size and catch limits, however the rangers who are in charge of making sure people don't take more than they should are few and far between so people break those laws all the time.

Thanks I love the shot too. I hope the university stops sending him overseas. Apparently my son wasn't the only one, some grad students went to Cyprus, I think my son said, and Japan as well.

Glad you had a good time!

He had a bit of a layover in the Newark Airport and it's really a good thing as his flight out of Athens was almost 2 1/2 hours late in departing. I'm so glad he is home and safe.

Fishing and camping, it sounds like tons of fun! Do you eat what you catch, or do you catch and release?

We ate a few while out camping but threw the rest back. We like to help keep the lakes in Illinois healthy.
