Snakes and Ladders originated in India. Earlier known as Moksha Patamu, the game was initially invented as a moral lesson about karma to be taught to children. It was later commercialized and has become one of the most popular board games in the world.
Do you ever played this game or any other indoor game. I played this game in my childhood days.

@queengreen0 This is from wikipedia : Parcheesi is a brand-name American adaptation of the Indian cross and circle board game Pachisi, published by Parker Brothers[1] and Winning Moves. Created in India perhaps as early as A.D. 500, Pachisi is called the Royal Game of India

I loved the game as a child. I had no idea there was a lesson in it but will look for it and figure that out. I love board games, I still play scrabble, parchisi, and my favorite is a newer game called Rummikub.

@ModernDayWriter it's a game with tiles. It's facinating.
Open main menu A selection of Rummikub tiles and racks. Rummikub is a tile-based game for two to four players, combining elements of the card game rummy and mahjong. There are 104 number tiles in the game (valued 1 to 13 in four different colors, two copie

This simple game also teaches humans a significant lesson for life. It is that life is full of ups and downs, which are totally unpredictable. But you have to move on, whatever may be the result.

@ModernDayWriter But in this game, you don't have control over the moves whereas, in our life, we can certainly take care of our Karma (deeds).

When we were children we used to play this game for hours together in the holidays it was fun the joy of climbing a ladder sometimes used to be immediately replaced with sorrow of being sent down by a snake. And sometimes it used to be the opposite
