I think what happened in Orlando is a tragedy but to label Omar as a terrorist and yet Dylan Roof killed black men and women in cold blood but he's just mentally insane or not well. I completely disagree. They are both terrorist.

It is sad that people doing such an act are considered as a terrorist because they form part of a particular religious group and a similar act is considered as an accident when done by people not belonging to that religious group. I think we are creating more fraction and animosity by having this attitude. That said I strongly condemn what happened in Orlando. My condolence to the families who lost their loved ones .

What Mateen did is not an accident. You don't accidentally shoot over 100 people.

@compbabygirl well hope better sense prevails and people can differentiate an act of a person to that of the entire religion.

I think that none of them are terrorists but both of them are serial killers. To be a serial killer you have to have mental issues, but that does not mean that you shoul go free or go to a mental hospital. They are KILLERS.

They are not serial killers. They are mass murderers. Serial killers stalk their victims and kill them one at a time in separate incidents. These killers do it all in a big blast. I think Mateen was a terrorist but Roof is probably just a nut case. My opinion anyway.

@akalinus Dylan wasn't a nut case. He knew exactly what he was doing. So did Omar YET because Dylan is white and Omar isn't its classified differently.

Dylann Roof did not pledge allegiance to the Islamic State, a known terrorist group. Supposedly ISIS was pleased to publicly take credit for inspiring the massacre in Orlando. Also, from the reports I have been hearing, mental illness is also being used to describe the Orlando shooter. As far as I know the Neo Nazis or the KKK, whoever, did not step foward to pat Dylann Roof on the back for a job well done. Not sure Roof is trying to share his "fame" with anybody else but himself.

@compbabygirl - KKK paid for Roof's lawyer? Good! It means the taxpaying citizens didn't have to pay the expense by providing him with a public defender.

Well the KKK help pay his lawyer fees...just because its not super out loud racist support doesn't mean it doesn't happen

@cmoneyspinner Missing the point....Clearly he wanted to show his allegiance to this terrorist group....and they acknowledged him.

Whatever label you put on them, they took the lives of innocent human beings for no reason except what was in their demented minds. Both of these are absolute tragedies of the worst kind. It is despicable. Roof killed nine people for absolutely no reason whatsoever. The terrorist took all those lives for twisted reasons.

@zap_81 After your words of wisdom in other comment of mine , I hope you did not distinguish Matten and Roof.
