Do you like reading quotations? I often read them but have gone off the type that sound so inspiring because just the opposite happens. There's this particular quote however that I like and sorta falls into that category but I like it because it has it's own truism. "People should be created to be loved and things were created to be used. The reason why the world is in chaos is because things are being loved and people are being used." I think the wise words came from the Dalai Lama.

Yes I love quotes and this one is not from the Dalai Lama but from John Green, it's in the book "Looking for Alaska".

Anna, I searched everywhere and it's "unknown" I thought it was told from the Dalai Lama because within the words was a large photograph of him. It sounds like something he might say. It's the words and meaning that counts however not whose muse gave him the words.

@LadyDuck Yes I searched after I got your comment since I know that's true that if you can't find the source then it's not from anyone who is known. Some of the best quotations are from those people. Originally I read it and of course they had him on there. That's why I mentioned I was guessing.

@Vjvals I know that sometimes it's hard to attribute the quotes, if you cannot find the source usually they do not come from famous people like the Dalai Lama.

I love reading famous quotations, but then again, I was an English major. I really enjoyed this quote.

I like any author as long as they have something worthwhile reading. English major and graduate and teacher from what I've read in your posts

He's a very wise man and that quote proves it. And he's absolutely right.
