It has been brutally hot for days. The humidity is as high as the temperature I think it is getting to me. I don't feel like doing anything. Nothing seems that interesting and all there is is work that I have not done. I don't want to do it. I am tired of being online. Have you been affected badly by the heat? How hot is it where you are? Do you think it will cool off anytime soon? What do you do to beat the heat?

In Texas, its pretty hot; I stay in front of the fan and hardly move. But when I do go outside, the sun just takes all of my energy and I just want to sleep.

I am sitting in front of a fan too. It is a big window fan that is sitting on a table near my computer. It helps to keep me from melting and to keep the equipment from overheating.

@akalinus I have a tower fan beside me and my laptop and I have my ceiling fan at full speed over me.

Can't agree more. I don't want to move and just want to sleep at home when it is hot.

Yes,one would be wilting in the heat. Here the temperature hovers around 32 C,but doesn't come to the point where we have to turn on the air conditioning.

I sometimes put a wet flannel round a neck when the heat starts getting me down.

Now there's an idea. We don't have much flannel in Florida but maybe I have something. Thanks.

@JudyEv Thanks, I will. I did not know that. It is hot here a lot, so it would be worth it to me.

It's so hot during daytime here in my country and rains hard in the evening (with thunder & lightning).

So far, so good, but summer has not started yet. This week, it is supposed to be very hot. I have a few ideas that I can try if it really gets very hot. Think cool!

Summer has been in my part of the world for a while now. Someone forgot to explain the calendar to the Florida heat. It left spring behind a long time ago.

I don't think you and I are far from each other so it is super hot I agree! I have been inside mostly because I don't want to be out in the heat.

Yes, I think we are a couple of hundred miles apart. It is too hot to work outside if you can avoid it. Besides us, it is hard on kids and pets, too.

It's been hot, mid to upper 90'd and humid here too all week. I'm like you, the hotter and more humid it is the less I want to do. They are saying by the weekend we should have a break from it until next week. I'll take it. There's not a lot I can do to beat the heat as part of my job is outside work. I drink extra and get in the shade as much as possible. Have a blessed day

We have only 15 degrees celcius this evening and pretty cool. It is summer here but it's not yet hot. Drinking a lot of water to stay hydrated.
