There is always a second try or nth try, just try and follow what is there.
Saw.a.recipe on line, and told.myself, why not give it a try.
I cooked oats like arrozcaldo(a congee with chicken).
I have all the ingredients, but the oatmeal is not the classic or unflavored one, still go on cooking.
Epic fail. Hahaha.
The oatmeal's flavor made the arrozcaldo lost that gingery flavor, it has that smell.of banana and sweetness of honey.
Glad that i just cooked a bowl and at least i tried and learned and i know now what was wrong. Lol.
Have you tried any new recipe lately?

This is going to sound horribly pathetic, but I just recently got my fried chicken to look like actual fried chicken...for some reason it always turned out looking like boiled rubber before...don't ask me how...I just...kinda...suck at cooking:).

@HebrewGreekStudies Uh... you might have some competition there. I can bake, but cooking, well, that's best left to my dearly beloved.

I love experimenting in the kitchen... haha
I cooked corn kernels, squash and bitter melon leaves. We usually don't add squash but it's also good.

@Lucky15 yup, i prefer the fresh, white corns bought at the market. I just remove the kernels from the cob using a knife.
Actually, that is one of my favorite dishes, corn with bitter melon leaves.

I have not tried any since I'm too busy with my parents, I'm always at my parents house. Maybe, I can stay a day or 2 in our house and that's the time I can prepare the foods for my husband and my son but the usual food I'm preparing.

@Lucky15 Here's the lyrics of the song sang by Frank Sinatra LOL!
"Let Me Try Again"
I know I said that I was leaving,
But I just couldn't say good-bye.
It was only self-deceiving
To walk away from someone who
Means everything in life to you.
You learn from every lonely day
I've learned and I've come back to stay.
Let me try again; let me try again.
Think of all we had before,
Let me try once more.
We can have it all, you and I again.
Just forgive me or I'll die.
Please let me try again.
I was such a fool to doubt you,
To try to go it all alone.
There's no sense to life without you.
Now all I do is just exist
And think about the chance I've missed.
To beg is not an easy task,
But pride is such a foolish mask.
Let me try again; let me try again.
Think of all we had before,
Let me try once more.
We can have it all, you and I again.
Just forgive me or I'll die.
Please let me try again.

I want to try something I haven't had before. I'm thinking of having homemade iced green tea but I'm having difficulty in finding one at the grocery. Still looking for that bag of leaves.
