" The attitude that you have as a parent
is what your kids will learn, more than what you tell them.
They don't remember what you try to teach them.
They remember what you are."
.... by Jim Henson
I have a neighbor who always yell at her children.
Every time that her children do something, like taking a bath, playing with their toys, or even when they are changing clothes,
Their mother always yell at them.
Their unit is on the ground floor, while ours is on the 3rd floor.
But still, I can hear her voice loud and clear.
Sometimes, even my children is wondering why she can't talk normally to her children.
Then one day, while I was passing by their unit, I hear her children yelling to their nanny.
Their nanny is talking to them in a soft voice while bathing them, but the two children keeps on yelling.
So, I said to myself, thank God , my children are not like them.

As parents we do have imperfections. We want an ideal parenthood but in reality we barely achieved it,yet we still try our best to be a good example to our children,we nurture them, teach, guide and help them to become a better person. There are times that we can't avoid to scold them to the point that we almost yell at them but we make sure to make it up to them, giving them assurance of our love.Constant yelling is way too much for the children to bear,I feel sorry for them too bad to know that there are such kind of parents

Violence can stop things but can't solve the problems. Love is the solution.

@Chungshop .. Yes. The more you shout at them, the more you scold them, the more the children will not follow you.
That's what the new generation of children is.

Oh no! This is such a sad thing to hear about. While it's true that the world is full of imperfect people, it pains to realise that these imperfections are being passed down through the generations simply because they didn't know better.

Lack of education is also a factor. All mothers should have a better education.

@Chungshop I can't tell you how much I agree with you. Education would make the whole world so much better than what it is right now!

@esotericme Women and mother should have higher educations because they play a very important role in the future building community. Not the father [less effective]

@Letranknight2015 .. But she's doing it everyday. Even to their maids. That's why her maids don't stay long with them.

Yup, they learn it from their mom and they thought it was normal.

I can relate to that. My mom does that. That is why me and mom sometimes fight. There are times she yells when you are going to ask her. And there are time that she don't care. I hate it. Mothers should be considerate or at least be nice. But mom is not. Pretty sad.

You're right, children easily copy what attitudes you have showed them rather than telling them.
