Eating Makes you Look Either Younger or Older

It was my hubby's 60th birthday last Monday. This is the reason why the celebration was not just a simple one and thank God I have sisters and nieces who helped me in the preparation. Our visitors could not believe he is already 60. When asked what is his secret, he said he has no secret but healthy diet and healthy lifestyle. One of our friends who came in the party said he is only 50 but many people thought he is already a senior citizen. The visitors looked at him meaningfully because they all know he eats a lot but does not exercise. When I told him to control his appetite, he replied, "yes starting tomorrow, not tonight" and then he looked at all the foods on the buffet table. Everyone laughed at him. Are you conscious with your eating habit? Do you agree that eating affects your whole appearance? I hope you all look younger than your age.

I agree, eating too much and no exercise can affect our whole appearance, it can make us old to look at.

How I wish I could invite all my cyber friends like you. And thanks for your good description of my husband, he will be flattered I am sure . We had relatives and guests during lunch time, then friends and church mates at dinner time. After the party, I was left with a lot of dishes to wash, huhuhu! Thank God my husband helped a lot.

@salonga i would rather wash the dishes and help clean up the dining room and kitchen than cook so i should have been there! hahaha! so were you reheating and eating leftovers since monday or did you give them all away?

@hereandthere Oh dear, the guests would not stop coming so there were only some leftovers for me to eat for midnight snack after washing the dishes because I did not have the appetite at all all throughout the entire preparation and celebration. All I was doing was drinking fresh fruit juices and water.

@salonga Yes, I think that it's the best we can do. Last month, my husband was asking to our insurer about a new product and the insurer told him "I cannot propose this to you, you must be at least 60 years old to subscribe"... , my husband is already 70 years old.

I eat healthy foods and exercise, but believe genes and heredity play a big role, including sunning without sunblock and smoking.

I think yes it does affect your health. Having a healthy food and a balance diet can make you look younger. But it's not all about food that keep you younger looking. Besides exercises,a positive healthy outlook of life can feel and look you younger than your age.

If only we could eat as much as we want and whatever we want without gaining weight. Sadly, as we grow older, putting on weight happens even if we don't eat that much.
