What type of business do you want to start up if you have such an opportunity ?

Many people do have their own dreams to start up a business. However, it is never an easy road to start up a business if you don't have enough capital or a good strategy and partners to do so. I think I would love to open a business to sell different kinds of dessert since lots of people love to eat desserts in my city. However, the location and the rent will be a big consideration. because once the Land Lord knows that you are making big money with their place, they will keep on raise up the rent. What about you ? Hoping to get a wood turning business off the ground this year. My biggest challenge is shop space. I don't really have any. I'm hoping to build a shop for minimal investment this year but scraping together the needed materials is proving a challenge. The weather hasn't been cooperating either.

@wildlittlefan Making useful and decorative items out of wood on a wood lathe. I make several types of bowls and candlesticks out of wood. There are other items I can make as well but lack shop space for the time being.

I already have one service firm and one trade business. But sometimes I wish to have a cosmetic shop.

I don't really know how the rent and the setup of the business work in your country but judging from my I would say that if you make a contract with a specific rent then for at least a year no one can raise it legally. As for the capital whatever you have bet it on start. It won't be easy at first but hopefully you will make it ( since you believe your plan ). Try to avoid any partners especially the ones close to you. If you really want a partner find someone you don't care if you have arguments. Hope the best for you!!!! :)

Good idea but our system doesn't work that way in this city. But thanks for the idea anyway. Greece is a historical country and many heroes have came out from this country.

From time to time I have come up with some very good (it seems to me) ideas for businesses. Sometimes I outline them to people and I generally get positive responses such as "That sounds great - you should do that!", so I know that they are not completely daft.
The trouble is that I know, from long experience, that I am an "ideas" man and, even though I can get into a little more detail about how a business might actually work, I don't have the dedication or the 'certain something' which would make me an entrepreneur.
There are plenty of employment agencies which make a good living out of matching people to existing jobs. I wonder if there's an opening for matching my ideas with suitable entrepreneurs who could make a success out of them! Now, there's another idea for a business - selling ideas to people!

@wildlittlefan You see? I have good ideas. I just need people to implement them!

Your dessert business sounds yummy. I am not interested in starting a business. I do not want to be constantly 'on". I like being a substitute teacher and a mystery shopper. I work on an occasional basis.
I would like to pet sit dogs at my home. My aunt used to do that.

I too have thought a lot about a start up. Basically, my Idea is to own a website where people can request manforce for a lot of small problems we face in daily life. Like, washerman, electrician, plumber etc. people just reaquest it on my website and I give them the service required. Thats it.
