When the Weather Channel says the weather will be "Fair"...what do you think that means?

I hope this isn't a dumb question. But I see it a lot on the Weather Channel, it will say something like, "Monday, "Fair", High of 50." Hmmmm ....I'm thinking "Fair" might mean that it's not gonna rain all day, it's not gonna snow all day, it's not gonna be sunny all day, it's not gonna be cloudy all day, it's not gonna be too hot all day, and it's not gonna be too cold all day. So that's fair. I guess. What do you think about this? Do you look forward to "Fair" days in the forecast? And if so, do you have any idea what it means? Thanks y'all

Think it means it will be neither too hot or cold, but in the middle.

Most of the time they are wrong here anyway but I think it means not too windy or rainy.

When I hear them say "Fair" weather on TWC I think it is going to be mostly clear, light winds, and comfortable temperatures for that time of year. My son once told me "Fair" weather is weather that give everyone an equal chance of getting rained on.

I think they're just spouting off nonsense most of the time. Nah, my logic is fair means mild.

I think fair means they actually have no idea what the weather will be like so they use a random word like "fair" to describe it.

I agree. I'm still in the process of teaching my Mom how to read the satellite/radar screen. She gets all mad and confused when it says "past 3 hours"...and I try to explain to her that by showing what happened in the past 3 hrs., that's a good indicator of what is coming our way. But NOPE, all I hear her saying is, "Oh who gives a crap about the last 3 hours, I wanna know what's happening right NOW." Sometimes I just give up and walk away. Thanks marguicha

Right now, fair to me would mean that the weather wouldn't be too hot or humid. I would gladly welcome a far day.

That's not very decisive. Fair in the winter means one thing and something else in summer. Does it mean its going to be cloudy, hot, raining?

I do not believe the weather channel or weather online because I find them not to be accurate. I have to go outside and experience the weather myself.
