Off to a music festival for the weekend

If it seems like I've disappeared over the forthcoming weekend, it's only because I'll be at the Grass Valley CA Fathers Day Bluegrass Festival. I'll be taking my guitar, mandolin, and sleeping bag and heading up there Friday evening. There I'll play music with many friends, some of whom I haven't seen in weeks or months. I'll attach a picture of one group of friends from a couple of years ago. Do you have and short vacations planned?

@TheHorse ..You won't believe it...lol. Mcleodganj. I prefer lesser known destinations. Wouldn't even mind going to some village and staying there in small hut for some time..lol. The huts I saw in some villages were so cute. Anyway...enjoy your Weekend...hopefully you will upload some songs for us.

That sounds like a lot of fun, and I hope you enjoy it. :) I don't have any vacations planned; just wasn't in the cards this year. I'm going on a day trip to the Mixtape Festival (concert) in August, but that's about it for me.

I'm sure you'll have a great time! We're off in an hour or two to help at another endurance ride. It's about an hour away. It is expected to be 3C overnight which is COLD for us and we'll have to be up early. The things we do for pleasure!!

wow you play the mandolin? How I love hearing that instrument. It's definitely one of my favorite sounds. I hope you have a wonderful time! I'll just be home, probably reading. But if I put some music on, I'll be thinking of you!

Nope. No short vacations planned for me. But it's funny you should mention a music festival. We have some music festivals going on here in Austin, Texas over the next couple of weekends. I had just asked my husband about what happened to Corinna Bailey Rae and wouldn't you know it? She's going to be at one of the festivals. Anyway … have fun!

I didn't spend too much on this little vacation. I was temped by a Martin D-18 Custom guitar that was for sale up there, but I decided to wait for now and stick with my Larrivee D-03 as my "festival guitar.

I just got home from a short vacation....went to the Smokies for a couple of days, then to Asheville to see a concert. Definitely needed both!!! You have a great weekend!

I will be participating at a Gay Pride event. My daughter's Union gives free water and snack to those who participate in the event. I went last year and had a blast. its supposed to be a great weather day. I will take photos.
