Hi friends, gone are the days where couples used to think of having a 2nd child, now they are happy with 1 and the trend is having a child after 5-6 years into the marriage. Late marriages and late childbirth has become the norm. Couples prefer to have only 1 child. What are your thoughts on single child, and what is the fashion in your country?

I like to have atleast two children. Having one child for me seems boring.

@durgabala You could always make an arena in your yard and let them "battle" for your entertainment!

Here in the US couples have many children. My husband and I chose not to have any children and we are very happy with that decision.

We are outside of the norm. Most people here in the U.S. have two, maybe three kids. We have six. We get comments about having our hands full. I'll sometimes joke and say, "Not quite two hands yet...and we still have 10 toes we could count on!" Love the look on their faces when I say such things. On the other hand, my friend with one child is often pushed to adopt more. Can't win for losing. If you have "too many" then you're looked down on. If you have "too few" then you're not doing your part. I think you should go with what you're comfortable with. If you love kids and want a large family, go for it! If you want a small family, that's a-okay. If you never want to have kids, that's okay too. My brood will make up for your slack!
