Hello! I am a new user here at "MyLot" and am just figuring things out. I was introduced to this place by my pal @TheBlock who I met through another (now defunct) website called Bubblews.
My name is Nikki and I am a 29 year old freelance writer and educator (and part time retail worker) in Canada.
I love hanging out with my partner Jay, watching movies, playing with my pet rats, writing, reading and listening to music.
I'd love to connect with you. :-)

Welcome to MyLot! You should find this a very friendly place, something like Bubblews but with much more emphasis on discussion rather than just posts on which people comment. The discussion/response/comment thread format is designed to make this rather easier than the post/comment format which Bubblews used, though it can be a little startling and confusing when the threads appear in a different order each time you return to a discussion and also when a long series of comments may hide all but the most recent! That is just something we have all had to get used to.
I have written a brief guide to using MyLot (though the guide to the menu system needs some updating because it refers to an earlier version of the site):

Another Bubblews refugee. Welcome aboard. I think you find an awful lot of people here who used to write there - myself included. I actually started my online writing on this site, went to Bubblews when that first got rolling and then wound up back here. Picked up a lot of friends along the way.
