Do you enjoy camping? Depending on what beach you are near, there are several private and state owned camp grounds near the cost. My favorite three are the KOA in New Bern on the Neuse River, Trantor Creek Campground near little Washington, and Carolina Beach State Park. The KOA has cabins and lodges if you don't have your own camping equipment. They are more reasonably priced than a hotel room.
If your closer to Brunswick County, the Sunset Beach Campground and Resort is very nice.

Like what place you want to go, Any idea about that, then only we can say whether it is costlier or cheaper.

It depends on when you say you want to get away? Does that mean you would stay the night at some place? Or is it a day trip to get away.
I do not know exactly the location you live besides NC, but I would recommend going to tripadvisor. When ever I am going to see friends, etc. and I ask my friends, what is there to do around this city and they come up with 1 or 2 items, I always go to that site and see what people recommend. Once I have a top 5-10 things to do in that area that sounds interesting, I take that list and get more detail on it and then come up with a plan on what we could afford to keep it cheap.
