I have seen number of times in five star hotels serving curd in earthen pot. It was considered a speical and right way of keeping the curd.
Yesterday I purchase a small earhenpot and kept the curd in it. Morning when I tasted the curd it was really nice and tasty than it was when kept in steel utencil. In village also when I was going there my grandma was keeping the curd in earhenpot only.
That is why the saying 'OLD IS GOLD'
Have you tasted the curd kept in earthenpot?

Why? Do you know any particular reason behind it?
Yes I have also seen many people make curd in pots. I have not tasted anytime. Do they clean and reuse the pot again?

i don't know the exact reason but i think being acidic in nature, curd might react with metal surface when kept in metal containers and this might cause some problems in long term, even such reaction changes the flavor of curd. Hence keeping it in an earthen pot is a better and healthier option.
