A Day Off Isn't Really A Day Off

Today my daughter and her family are going to visit my mom at the rehabilitation place so that I get to stay home and not have to spend the day there. It's nice to have the day off but since I'll have the house to myself my day off won't totally be a day off.
I've gotten very little housework done this past week so today will probably be spent vacuuming, dusting, mopping floors, cleaning bathrooms etc. I can't stand a messy house so before I can relax I need to get this place in order.
We have a beautiful sunny day here today and it looks like the weather will cooperate for the weekend and into next week.
After I get the house tidied up I'm planning on sitting on my front porch with my book and a huge cold glass of iced tea and enjoy the afternoon.

I will be having a cleaning day as well. I hope we both get our cleaning done! I am trying to find the motivation for it all right now. Lol

I did sit outside & read my book for awhile...it was a much needed afternoon of relaxing

I do understand these days off! Enjoy your book for a little. I know how it is taking care of people, seems that is all I have done my entire life.

Taking care of others is exhausting so I did enjoy my day off..who knows when the next opportunity will present itself
