Living in another Time...

I enjoyed a serene bike ride down a wooded path yesterday on my 10 mile jaunt. While riding through the dense forest, near a gently flowing river I found myself envious of those who travelled this way before.
It occurred to me, I think about this often when I can get away from the noisy busy time of modern life.
If you were from another time period, which one? What triggers you to think about that time?
For me, quiet walks in the woods, and the smell of wood fires, take me back to the 1800's. Chime in, I would love to hear your thoughts :-)

Nature does to me as well, as music... When I walk alone in nature I feel connected to my Native ancestors.. and I imagine what it must have been like living life in the old ways... I also love Trains.. so when I ride steam engines I enjoy being taking back to the time of the golden age of steam railroads.. Sitting there listening to music.. Certain songs are the best mental forms of time travel.. can bring you back to so many memories happy and sad.. I always find it amazing how much a song can renew a lost memory in your mind. :D ,, Many songs remind me of numerous foster brothers and sisters I grew up with, or numerous moments with my friends in school of events that happens when that song was popular... or often fun times with my grandparents.. or visits, or vacations..
