Starting my own blog

I recently decided to start my own blog, I am visually disabled and I named my blog TheBlindHomeker because I love to cook, garden, do home improvement, etc. and thought that it would be a great idea to chronicle my journey. There are a lot of people out there suffering from visual and physical disabilities, who feel like their condition limits them. Well I'm here to let those know that it is possible to live life to the fullest, to do all the things that bring them joy whether or not they are disabled. My blog covers all the things that I love to do from entertaining to do it yourself projects, etc. I believe that it will be a source of inspiration and also a place to gather great tips and tricks to make life easier and a whole lot more fun! Are there any more bloggers out there and what do you blog about?

That's a pretty great blog you have there! I like that it's not only educational but also inspirational. I currently have a blog, at first I made it to chronicle my experience as a wife and mom, but now I've written other topics as well, still something that I think my readers will like.

What are you doing is very inspirational especially for people who also has a problem. This post gives hope as it simply shows that nothing can limit us on our dreams. If we want something, nothing can stop us from achieving it but ourselves. I will have my blog very soon. I hope to finalize it before the month of August.

Thank you so much..When I first lost a lot of my sight (I have Open-angle Glaucoma) I became very depressed, but it didn't last very long. After many weeks of prayer, all of a sudden, I started to feel better. Its really hard to describe, but it was as if GOD was telling me.."You aren't totally blind, do something good with what you have left. Don't waste time!" That was when my REAL journey began. I am so grateful that I still have some sight. I could still see my children, the stars at night and all the different colors of the world. I want to share that hope with others who may feeling the way that I did.

@Stefanygray I am glad that you do not lose hope. My sister one's eye cannot see anymore. Right away after she learned about it, she could not stop crying. She was with our mom and they were both crying even they were in the public place. I felt sorry for my older sister. She has been a very good person and sometimes I wonder why those misfortunes happen to good people. Anyway, I know God knows what is best for us. He has a plan for each one of us that I know we cannot fathom with our human understanding. I agree with you that prayers work.

That sounds like a good idea. You have niche market, but also universal appeal. A lot of people face challenges other than visual impairment and might be needing ideas or inspiration about how to go doing things. I wish you all the best with this.
