A man in Pennsylvania was found to have 12 girls in his custody, at least some of whom he was sexually abusing. One was an 18 year old who was given to him by her parents at 14 years old. He had 2 children with her in the time she had been in his care. The man, Lee Kaplan, is currently being held in jail on $1 million bond.
This story makes me sick! This man is obviously a predator but who in their right mind would give their daughter away to a man like this?! The 18 year old's parents are facing charges as well, by the way. These girls are going to need years, if not decades, of therapy to have a chance at healing from what that monster put them through.

In the past I've had jobs that involved dealing with child abusers.
My opinion is there is no treatment that has been shown to be effective.
They should be locked up for their whole life to protect children.

This kind of news make me sick. I can't understand how in the world this man could have had those 12 girls and keep them like that. How could he have convinced the parents to give those children to him?

From what I'm hearing, the 18 year old's parents gave her to him for "helping them out of financial ruin".

@Lolaze So probably he has been projecting a good samaritan image. We almost have the same situation here and the 18 year old actually claimed to have fallen in love with the man.

These kind of things make me want to go into Elaina Bobbitt mode @Lolaze .

What I found surprising was that the parents who "gifted" their daughter to the child molester were Amish. I've always have the impression that this religious sect were a god-fearing and non-violence people. But what these couple did is contrary to the tenets of their religion.
