I don't know what was they actual problem in your family. So its up to you to decide whether it was a right decision.

i mean to say that cant we do any other alternate things else than this long hectic job. since today is fathers day i have seen in some newspaper that some father left their mnc job, it job n stays at home looking after their small baby while their wife goes to job.

That is not the problem, the thing is that you had make a sacrifice and solve your home problem first. You may find other things to do while solving your home problem. Just be patience till thing going smooth.

Only you and your family if it was a right decision. Decisions like that are on a case-by-case basis. Meaning what might be a bad decision for one family might be the best thing that ever happened for another family.
