Yesterday morning I woke up with a slightly swollen top lip, not too concerning. By lunchtime it was more swollen and the right side of my face was starting to swell. By mid afternoon both lips were swollen and my face looked like it had been punched. That's when I decided to go to Urgent Care. They looked at me and decided that I must have a sinus infection so they gave me an antibiotic shot and a prescription for steroids and an antibiotic. They told me to come back in the morning. This morning I went in to see them and they said I now how some fluid in my lungs. I received two shots, one steroid and 1 antibiotic. I have to go get a chest xray and blood test in the morning then go back to see them again. I have been this route 4 times now since November. I am getting tired of being a pincushion. I have gotten second opinions and they all say the same thing that Urgent Care says: I keep getting a sinus infection and upper respiratory infection that leads to fluid in the lungs and pneumonia. It's all tied into my PAH in some manner. I hope this comes to a halt soon.

It happened to my Brother when he took meds one time because he feels sick. The next minute his lips swell as well as his eyes and face. He went to a clinic and the Doctor told him the he has allergic to prawns and shrimps.

@JustBhem I thought it might have been an allergic reaction or sinus infection. It shows up that way a lot.

@JustBhem For me it has turned out to be a sinus infection that has gotten out of hand. It's getting better now, thank goodness.

@infatuatedbby I go to a specialist now for my lung issues but it never showed up with these symptoms. I guess there are more things going on than we know.

@jaboUK I don't get enough oxygen at times to my lungs and it makes breathing harder.

@just4him Peripheral Artery Hypertension. The artery going to the lungs is restricting oxygen from reaching there, at least as much oxygen as you need. I am taking a medication that is supposed to relax the artery so it doesn't contract and shut out some of my oxygen.

I'm sorry this is happening to you. Vince and I have both been immunised against pneumonia now. Vince has had it several times. I was surprised to learn there was a shot which would prevent it and we were quick to take advantage of it. I'm pretty sure it is a one-in-a- lifetime shot.

@JudyEv I have had that shot. Apparently there are other issues raising their ugly little heads at this point. I guess once my family is gone we will get down to the nitty gritty of what to do about the issues.

@marlina that's what I mean. It's easier to use the abbreviation that write it all out. Are you familiar with what it is?

@Blue_bubble it is more of a problem with lungs getting enough oxygen.
