Give respect to your parents

Quite honestly, I am not the perfect child..or the best or whatever. But even though I am not that perfect child, I respect and love my parents and because of that love, no matter what our differences, I still visit them and ask how they are doing or..just be with them (time is short!)
This thought just came into my mind as a friend of mine just texted me that she wants to find out where she can find a home for rent. She told me she just can't stand her mother! she said her mom is such a nag and is too much for her. It just makes me sad that she can't find the goodness in her mom (or vice versa!) she just came from a different city and came home to her parents house with her two kids in tow as she finds it hard to live in the previous city she went to having two kids. Her mom also suffered from stroke the previous years and I know that time is running out on her too!
I want to tell my friend that life is short, let her mom be and just be the daughter and just TRY TO ENJOY! Well, I think I did told her this back then...from what I can see she just can't find it in her heart. Though she is quite nice to her dad! She even bought her dad cakes the previous father's day I believe.
She said she can't stand the sight of her mom. And she also complains how hard life is with her and two kids..and all. :( I know she's going through a rough time but how do I tell her to just see the goodness in everything? She is not financially problematic too.
But then it's hard to give advice to someone who doesn't want to listen.

Never waste your time of giving advices to people who don't listen. It's their lost not yours.

Just wondering why she treats her mom that way, considering that she already suffered a stroke (her mom) and she is also a mother of two so she should be more closer to her mom because she realizes (maybe) how it is to become a mother. If she does not want to listen, so let her on her own and go away from her mom.

perhaps there were events that happened that she didn't want to tell me.. but i can respect her decision. :)

I think that's because she cannot stand her mother telling her the truth about things she sees in her in raising her children .

I think your friend just needs more time and I can see how she cann get fed up with her mom. Everybody needs space and I can't see that she is getting enough space with two kids and her mom. I used to live with my grandparents and they always wanted to interfere with how I live and so on.

Yup..and I believe that's her decision now. I just hope in time she'll find time to heal too
