Children: what's easier, to grow up sons or daughters?

Having children isn't an easy task. There are who prefers to have sons, others who prefers to have daughters. A third part doesn't mind. For personal experience, to have one of each might be the ideal option. And a fourth part doesn't want to have children. What about your opinion and experience about children?

I am sorry to hear that you lost your daughter. A part of your heart left with her. It's a hard experience difficult to imagine or even to understand until you pass through one like yours.

@Hatley Usually, daughters are daddy's girl and sons are more attached to mom's.

I like to have two children girl and boy but seems I couldn't have that girl. I just have my ultrasound for my baby in the tummy and it was a baby boy still. I already have one son three years old. He's a very sweet son to me. To raise a children really not so easy, patient of parents should always be present in handling kids.

Patient and plenty of love is necessary to handle with kids. Maybe, the girl still comes in the future.

Boy or girl.. it's never easy. I have 2 boys and 2 girls and both still hard..but I love every minute of it :) I love my boys as they love to run around and they are so loving! what's challenging I believe perhaps is when they reach their teens, mine are still lil kids so can't say yet ;) My girls are adorable too, though one is already 11 years old and she's amazing. Not hard to please. She's just easy to be with. She's disciplined and knows her responsibilities and I can see much respect from her too. She's not into boys yet thank God but I spoke with her about it and from what I can see, I believe she knows her priorities :) But she's open to us and she knows the trust we put into her as she's our eldest.

A nice experience, indeed. The trust between children and parents is very important to inculcate values which will help the kids to reach a better life.

We only have one daughter and she is my world. She too has children now, a boy and a girl and I am enjoying having them around. They are so innocent, funny and inquisitive.

Once you have children, it's difficult to imagine world or life without them. It just seems that we need them, they keep us alife and give us a sense to our life.

I belong to the third part, I didn''t mind ...then. Now that my sons are grown up , i feel it would have been nice to have a girl too.:) But there are my friends' daughters and I enjoy interacting with them on 'girlie' issues.

You are right, sometimes we might wish to have one of each, a son and a daughter. But, once our sons get married their wifes may turn to a daughter for us, even if it's not exactly the same as having your own daughter...
